All About us:
Founded in 1908, this congregation has been a vital part of Murfreesboro over 100 years.  The sanctuary is a combination of Oriental Byzantine architecture with Greek classical columns.  The Cross on the dome is the highest elevation cross in Rutherford County.  The education building was completed in 1956; it holds our church offices, as well as meeting space for classes and gatherings.  Our denomination is Disciples of Christ.  We began on the early American frontier in the beginning of the nineteenth century.  Seeking to move beyond denominational disagreements, the founders envisioned only one Christian Church, modeled on the New Testament.

Today this congregation and other  "Disciples share some of those characteristics:

We are self-governing and call our own pastor.

Our worship services are a mix of  traditional and contemporary, and include lay women and men as leaders.

We encourage open discussion of issues, and a variety of opinions are welcome.

We strive to achieve a broad ethnic and racial membership, just like the family of God.
