Rev. Steven M. Odom

Hey friends, Eric Anderson naturally knows a lot of folk in law enforcement.

These are the men and women that work so the rest of us can sleep safe at night.

Please be in prayer for these men and their families:

1. The family of General Ronald L. Davis- He passed away after a long battle
with cancer. He was the 21st Judicial District Attorney General

2. Officer Larry Campbell- Brentwood Police Department,He passed away on his 25 anniversary with the Brentwood Police Department

3. Officer Dewayne Burress- Franklin Police Department, awaiting liver
transplant...5th on the list as of last week

4. Sergeant Paul Arnold- Franklin Police Department, recovering (on going)
from colon cancer, multiple surgeries, radiation therapy

5. Retired Officer Frank Soto- Franklin Police Department, is recovering at
home from a stroke

6. Custodian Larry Bennett, City of Franklin- is recovering at NHC Franklin
following removal of a brain tumor last week

Some of you saw the email regarding our Cookie Ministry of love to the public servants of Murfreesboro. We're starting by taking a 16 inch catering tray full of cookies to the different Fire Dept stations in Murfreesboro on Sunday nights. May 18, we began with the downtown Vine St. station. Darlene Bowman started us off with 50 Chocolate Chip cookies. Each tray includes a church brochure, a bumper sticker and a thank you note for the hard work for Murfreesboro. We hope to eventually take cookies to Police, the Sheriff's dept, the Water Treatment plant, the hospital ER and others. The Evangelism committee (Chris Spintzyk, chair) will also have a sheet to go with the cookies that asks folk to share their prayer requests with us which we will post on the website and share with you on Sunday mornings. We have the trays here at the office and welcome volunteers to bake cookies (No Nuts!) and/or deliver cookies and pick up prayer requests. Here is the schedule for our bakers so far. If you volunteer for cookies and find you can't get them done, call Julie Becker (in the church directory).
